Workshops held on busy street or square are a great way of engaging the local community. The workshop in Tallaght for example aimed to help people to understand issues in relation to water conservation. A pipe divided into sections each one represented the proportion of the water we use washing, for drinking, cleaning, flushing the toilet, and cooking daily. Passers by were asked to match the coloured segment of the pipe with the different activity. In addition facilitators had the opportunity to discuss water conservation with those that participated in the pipe challenge.
