Primary schools in Tallaght were asked to show they had developed their maths eyes. As part of the ‘Looking at Tallaght Through Maths eyes Initiative all the 14 schools involved came to Institute of Technology Tallaght and showcased their maths eyes projects.
Over 600 children from senior infants to sixth class and 100 adults attended the showcase. The National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Science and Mathematics (http://www.nce-mstl.ie/) facilitated ‘Fun with Maths’ workshops for all children attending the event. The event was supported by John Murray (RTE 1).
